Tickle U For Toddlers

Recently, Cartoon Network launched a new television program specifically for preschool aged children called Tickle U.  As a mother of three boys, Cartoon Network is probably the most watched channel in our home.  While the oldest boy loves most of the cartoons, most of the programming would not hold the interest of the toddlers.  When I was offered the opportunity to join Tickle U’s parent advisory board, I jumped at the chance!

Being a parent advisor did give me the benefit of taking a sneak peak of the program before the general public.  When I received the information, my toddlers and I cuddled up together to watch the shows.  I must say, the shows were adorable and really kept the kid’s attention.  Being an internet-based mom business, the first episode of Peppa Pig really hit home with kids and has quickly become one of our favorite shows.  I still have a few of the DVDs left that were sent to me before the new program launched.  If you are interested in receiving a copy, contact me and I’ll send it right out to you - as long as I have one left.

Not only has Cartoon Network created the wonderful new television program for this age group, but also a terrific child-friendly internet community with games and learning activities appropriate for their age!  We generally let one child play on my computer and the other child play on Daddy’s computer simultaneously.  The website has a timer that the parent’s can set to control the amount of time the child can play.  One of the best perks is there is no advertising or sneaky gimmicks to tempt your child to click and leave the site.

Surf on over to TickleU.com and check out the programs and activities.  Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter while you are there.  You’ll be glad you did!

Desperate? Me? Surely Not!

Well, after fighting it, I’ve become more than a Desperate Housewife viewer and fan (I think waiting til next season will be torture).  I’ve decided if I can’t beat them, join them. After all, most clueless outsiders believe I am a spoiled, bored housewife anyway!

I figure I must be the mother of all desperate housewives because except for Gabby, I can relate with all the others… and that’s only because my husband looks so cute as he buzzes by on the riding lawn mower.  =)  Don’t underestimate me because I always seem to be getting into hilariously ridiculous situations like Susan.  I also have some Martha Huber up my sleeve.  I have a little blackmail collection of my own, so if you are on my poop list (and you know who you are) then you better pray my sister never gets hold of it.  She’ll make Felicia look like a walk in the park!

All kidding aside though, I can seriously relate to Lynette.  So, I wasn’t too surprised when I surfed into ABC to visit the Desperate Housewife section and was pegged as a “Lynette” after taking the fun little quiz.  Which Desperate Housewife Are You?
